I’m supposed to be the correspondent on chives in this here group, and I’ve done the job poorly.
They were planted, in just about the sleepiest spot in the garden, before I joined, and I’ve barely taken note of them since, although I did take bring some home last night, ’cause I figured I oughta.
Anyway, they’re still there.

Yesterday, I was at the garden from 4:30 until 6. An exuberant crowd of mothers and children looked at — and commented on — practically everything. Everyone likes the squash we have. They find the eggplants to be terrific, and so are the flowers, the greens, the beans, etc.
